  • A sell-out crowd of over 10,000 in Malaga saw Unicaja boost their hopes of a first ever Final Four appearance in the Euroleague on Tuesday.

The support was silenced early on though as guests Winterthur FC Barcelona outplayed their opponents in the opening stages of the game.

But Unicaja - and Slovenian Marko Tusek - began to find their range, and a 17-2 run in the second quarter propelled the home side into a 46-40 lead.

Unicaja eased to a 91-75 victory, with coach Sergio Scariolo basking in his side's successful start in their first-ever quarter-final.

It was always going to be a tough task for Olympiacos at Tau Ceramica's Fernando Buesa Arena.

The Spanish side have not tasted defeat in 27 appearances at their home court - and sharp shooting from Igor Rakocevic ensured that streak would be extended.

A rampant Rakocevic helped himself to a 24 points tally as Tau took the early initiative against their Greek visitors and never looked back.

By the time Fred House found the hoop at the end of the third quarter, the result was beyond doubt - Tau running out winners by 84 points to 59.
