A massive blow for French champions Lyon at pre-season training on Thursday, goalkeeper Gregory Coupet suffering a serious knee injury. The French international, seen here earlier in the session, will miss at least four months after tearing a ligament - he joins Brazilian striker Fred, who's future at the club is still uncertain, on crutches. Sylvain Wiltord's time at Lyon appears to be over, too, the frontman failed to turn up for Thursday's media day with new coach Alain Perrin already looking to replace him. SOUNDBITE: (French) "With the departure of Sylvain Wiltord, there's room for one more striker, especially if we play 4-4-2. Even if Fred hadn't been injured, we would still need another striker in order to rotate the players, so we're actively looking for such a player." SUPER CAPTION: Alain Perrin, Olympique Lyonnais coach. Lyon have welcomed World Cup winning Italian defender Fabio Grosso, he's getting to grips with all things French. SOUNDBITE: (French) Grosso says: "I can speak in French because it's just a few words. There have been no problems, everything is going well, I am happy and I hope I will keep improving." SUPERCAPTION: Fabio Grosso, Olympique Lyonnais defender. Lyon's squad will be smaller than last year, but it's probably technically better, suggesting a record-breaking seventh successive league title could be on it's way to south east France.
