The Clairefontaine training centre in the Paris suburbs provided a tranquil setting this week as France prepared for their Euro 2008 qualifier against Scotland on Wednesday. Les Bleus head into the Parc des Princes clash at the top of the Group B standings, one point ahead of the Scots and two ahead of World Cup holders Italy. No-one in Raymond Domenech's squad will be underestimating the Scots, who beat the French 1-0 in a Group B qualifier in Glasgow last October. Domenech admitted that revenge has been on the minds of his players. SOUNDBITE (French) "Everybody wants to show that we can beat this team, but we will have to make it happen and show it on the pitch, not just talk about it." SUPERCAPTION: Raymond Domenech, France coach. France captain Patrick Vieira was in the side that lost to Scotland last October. The Juventus midfielder is confident there won't be another upset. SOUNDBITE (French) "We know that the best way of winning the game is to be organised. That's what we'll do, that's what we have done in the previous games and it has worked quite well, with a lot of determination and the desire to strike and win the game." SUPERCAPTION: Patrick Vieira, France captain. France drew 0-0 with Italy in their previous qualifying game in Milan on Saturday (September 8th). On Wednesday, the French will have to make do without without striker Thierry Henry against Alex McLeish's side. The Barcelona striker will miss the match through suspension after picking up a booking in the game against Italy. But with the likes of Nicolas Anelka and David Trezeguet playing in attack, Les Bleus will have no excuses if they fail to beat Scotland for a second time in their campaign.
