Landon Donovan and the Los Angeles Galaxy put their three-game winning streak on the line before a sell-out crowd in Houston's Robertson Stadium on Sunday as they took on the Dynamo. The Houston crowd erupted in the 21st minute when Joseph Ngwenya's cross found Nate Jaqua, who blasted it past goalkeeper Joe Cannon for the opening goal of the match. Los Angeles finally struck back just before half time. Carlos Pavon played a neat one-two with Donovan and and guided his shot inside the far post for the equaliser. It was Pavon's third goal of the season. Donovan was again involved when Galaxy broke the deadlock in the 76th minute. His long free kick picked out Cobi Jones, who headed it across the goalmouth to Gavin Glinton. Glinton nodded it home for his fourth goal of the season. Los Angeles held on to win 2-1, keeping their playoff hopes alive with their fourth straight victory.
