David Beckham to MLS action
SOUNDBITE: (English) "We spoke, you know we had a little chat yesterday and he said 'you know 20, 25 minutes at the most' he felt he could do and so we stuck with it. He was anxious to get on, I could tell he was warming up and you know getting his stuff off, but we wanted to stick to the plan. If we did want to use David, it was a good chance to try and win the game." SUPERCAPTION: Frank Yallop, LA Galaxy head coach. Even though it may not have been one of his best Galaxy performances to date, Yallop feels it was important to give Beckham some competitive action after over 7 weeks off. SOUNDBITE: (english) "When you have a chance of putting someone like David on the field with the game in the balance, you should put him on. I think it was good to get him out there, I think it lifted us and I think that you were just waiting for that one bit of spark that he has in his game. Listen, he is rusty - you know, he has not played for a while so he is dying to get out there, you could tell that. So, he probably feels better now and he is looking forward to Sunday, hopefully he is going to mean something in that game." SUPERCAPTION: Frank Yallop, LA Galaxy head coach. SOUNDBITE: (English) "We need to focus on what we can do on Sunday and hopefully get some good results Saturday. The problem is, I think we put ourselves in this hole and we've got to climb out of it. It's been a nice run that we've had. I think every team goes on a run during the year. We just found ours at the end and hopefully we'll still have a chance come Sunday." SUPERCAPTION: Joe Cannon, Los Angeles Galaxy goalkeeper.
