Japan's Urawa Reds on the verge of Asian club glory... Rome returns to normality as Italy suspends soccer matches... And MotoGP under lights... Qatar gets go-ahead for night time race. SOCCER JAPAN Japan's Urawa Reds have a near-full strength side for Wednesday's deciding leg of their AFC Asian Champions League final with Iran's Sepahan. Captain Nobuhisa Yamada may be missing through injury, but defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka will definitely play in in Saitama having missed the first leg. Reds coach Holger Osieck is eager to reward the club's fans with victory and a major trophy. SOUNDBITE: (English) "Football here is not just a game. It's not just entertainment. It has become a social factor and that is very impressive. And therefore, I think, if we do it tomorrow, then the entire region will get a tremendous boost and it will carry on." SUPER CAPTION: Holger Osieck, Urawa Reds coach. The Iranian opposition will be underdogs having only managed a 1-1 draw at home last week - and their problems mounted this week with Moharram Navidkia and first leg goalscorer Mahmoud Karimi both fighting to be fit for the season climax. SOCCER ITALY The streets of Rome returned to some sense of normality on Tuesday following 48 hours of unrest in Italy. The widespread fan violence following the accidental shooting of a soccer fan by a policeman has led to the Italian Football Federation postponing all league games planned for this weekend. With the Italian national team playing there will be no Serie A, or top flight soccer anyway but now Serie B and C games have been suspended, and some people are losing patience with soccer-related violence. SOUNDBITE: (Italian) This Rome resident says: "They should be even more strict with violent fans, I am no longer a soccer fan since all this started, I have stopped watching football." SUPER CAPTION: Vox pop. SOUNDBITE: (Italian) "I think they should stop the Serie A championship for six months, at least. They should stop with this circus." SUPERCAPTION: Vox pop. Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi has called for a full investigation into the shooting of Lazio Gabriele Sandri, now described by police as a "tragic error". And Italian league soccer will now not return to the pitch until at least the weekend of the 24th of November. MOTOGP QATAR New Suzuki man Loris Capirossi was amongst a group of MotoGP riders testing Qatar's floodlit Losail circuit on Monday. Capirossi was joined at the night time session by compatriot Marco Melandri of Ducati, and also Anthony West of Kawasaki, Honda man Alex de Angelis and MotoGP new boy James Toseland. It's barely two months since it was announced that next year's season-opening Qatar MotoGP race will make history as the first motorsport World Championship event to take place at night. This test by the five riders was part of the final approval by the Riders' Safety Commission, and the 2008 Grand Prix of Qatar may now go ahead under lights. MotoGP's historic race next March may well set the pace for motorsport, with Formula One also touting the idea of a night Grand Prix. RALLY CHINA Some unfinished business to take care of for newly-crowned Asian Pacific Rally champion Cody Crocker at the season-ender in China. Australia's Crocker and co-driver Ben Atkinson set their sights on sweeping the manufacturers title for Subaru and the Motor Image Rally team - and when Japanese driver Katsu Taguchi of closest rival Mitsubishi crashed it made Crocker's task that much simpler. Subaru had their own troubles when Indonesia's Rifat Sungkar followed the example of Taguchi, but with Crocker in control Subaru's title was never in doubt. This race in China and the 2007 season as a whole belonged to Cody Crocker. In two years on the circuit the former Australian rally champion has the astonishing record of winning all but one of the events he has entered.
