ch Group E meeting
Only a victory will do for Lyon against Rangers on Wednesday night for the French side to make it through to the knockout phase of the Champions League. However, they would have to end an enviable record. Rangers, who will join Glasgow rivals Celtic in the last sixteen with a win or a draw, are undefeated in their last fourteen matches in European competition at home. Lyon still lead the French Ligue 1 by four points despite a 1-0 loss at Caen on Saturday, but coach Alain Perrin knows they will kick-off as underdogs at Ibrox. SOUNDBITE (French) "I think the pressure is on us because we are going to have to have real drive. Normally, we qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, but this time Rangers are the favourites. They are better placed to qualify. Obviously they only need a draw and they have their supporters behind them." SUPERCAPTION: Alain Perrin, Lyon coach Rangers reached their seven-point tally in their opening three Group E matches, which included a surprise 3-0 win in Lyon back in October. Walter Smith's squad have the added benefits of a full weekend of preparation after the Scottish Premier League postponed Sunday's match against Gretna.
