Seoul shares flat in late morning trade
SEOUL, Sept. 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.02 percent higher late Wednesday morning as geopolitical concerns stemmed investor sentiment, analysts said.
Following a choppy morning session, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) edged up 0.43 points to 2,029.34 as of 11:20 a.m.
Techs were mixed. SK hynix and LG Display jumped 3.18 percent and 4.03 percent each.
Market bellwether Samsung Electronics, however, declined 0.95 percent.
The local currency was changing hands at 1,040.35 won against the U.S. dollar as of 11:20 a.m., down 0.35 won from Tuesday's close.
