S. Korean ambassador in Beijing opens up residence to public
BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Yonhap) -- The residence of the South Korean ambassador to China has been opened to the public, in an annual public-diplomacy effort to reach out to Chinese people, the South Korean Embassy said Thursday.
Various events aimed at letting Chinese people better understand the "Korean Wave" of pop culture, including the screening of sci-fi action film "Snow Piercer," were being held at the nine-day occasion that ends on Saturday.
The embassy has opened the ambassador's residence to the public in October every year. Non-Korean foreigners are also able to visit the residence during the period.
