Tony Leung to visit Seoul next month
SEOUL, March 30 (Yonhap) -- Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu-Wai will visit South Korea next month to attend the premiere of a new film directed by a veteran South Korean filmmaker, the movie's producer said Monday.
This would his first visit to South Korea in two years. He last visited the country to attend a Chinese film festival in Seoul in 2013.
During the visit, Leung will attend a VIP premiere of "Revivre," the 102nd film by director Im Kwon-taek, a red-carpet event at a Seoul cinema on April 6, along with other renowned celebrities and movie directors, Myung Films said.
Premiered at last year's Venice International Film Festival, "Revivre" is set to open in local theaters on April 9.
Starring Ahn Sung-ki and Kim Gyu-ri, "Revivre" is about a cosmetics company executive who genuinely cares for his withering and dying wife, while also smitten by the charms of a young subordinate.
