Samsung Electronics aims to boost sales of home appliances in China
BEIJING, April 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. aims to lift its sales of home appliances in China by as much as 50 percent this year, the company's China unit said Sunday.
As a part of its marketing strategy to boost sales of white goods such as high-end televisions and washing machines in China, Samsung opened its first "Samsung Open House" at a Guomei electronics store in Beijing.
The Samsung store helps customers better understand its products by enabling them to virtually use them.
"With the aim of opening a total of 300 'Samsung Open Houses' in China this year, Samsung expects to boost sales of home appliances by 30 to 50 percent," the company said in a statement.
