GM Korea's sales grow 7.3 pct in June
SEOUL, July 1 (Yonhap) -- GM Korea Co., the local unit of U.S. carmaker General Motors Co., said Wednesday that its June sales grew 7.3 percent from a year earlier thanks to strong overseas demand.
GM Korea said that it sold a total of 55,186 vehicles at home and abroad last month, compared with 51,445 units for the same month in 2014.
Its domestic sales edged up 0.8 percent on-year to 12,233 units in June, with exports expanding 9.3 percent to 42,953 units over the cited period.
GM Korea said that its cumulative sales during the first half of this year came to 307,879 units, down 5.9 percent from the same period a year earlier.
