All News 19:49 May 25, 2016

SEOGWIPO, South Korea, May 25 (Yonhap) -- U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Wednesday he will contemplate his future after completing his tenure, amid speculation he may run for South Korea's presidency.

Ban made the remarks in a meeting with a group of senior South Korean journalists on the southern resort island of Jeju shortly after arriving here to attend an international forum.

The U.N. chief, whose second five-year term ends in December, has long been considered a strong contender in the December 2017 presidential election.
