Girls' Generation to release song for fans to celebrate its 9th anniversary
SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- Girls' Generation will release a new song dedicated to its fans to celebrate its ninth anniversary, the idol group's agency said on Tuesday.
The eight-member K-pop act will roll out "That Summer" on Aug. 5 at 12 a.m. through digital music streaming channel Station, operated by the band's agency S.M. Entertainment. The song is Girls' Generation's token of gratitude for its fans and their support over the past nine years.
Girls' Generation member Soo-young, a niece of S.M. Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man, wrote the lyrics for the song.
Since the group's debut in 2007, Girls' Generation members have widened their scope of entertainment activities to include songwriting, acting and show hosting.
