SEOUL, March 26 (Yonhap) -- Malaysian police entered the North Korean Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to interrogate three suspects in the recent assassination of the North Korean leaders' half brother last month, a Japanese news report said Sunday.

Four Malay officers went into the embassy premises and conducted an investigation there for about two and a half hours before coming out, the report by Kyodo News said, quoting Chinese news outlet China Press.

It is the first investigation conducted inside the North Korean Embassy by the Malay police since Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was killed by North Korean suspects at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Feb. 13.

Two Asian women rubbed what the Malay police later said was nerve agent VX on Kim's face at the crowded airport.

The Malaysian police said several North Korean men were behind the killing, with three of them, including a North Korean diplomat, believed to be hiding on the embassy premises.
