N.K. leader warns Trump will pay dearly for 'eccentric words'
SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Yonhap) -- North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has warned U.S. President Donald Trump will pay dearly for his "eccentric" U.N. speech in which he threatened to totally destroy his country, Pyongyang's state media said Friday.
"I am now thinking hard about what response he could have expected when he allowed such eccentric words to trip off his tongue," Kim was quoted as saying by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation. I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire," he said.
Trump said in his address at the U.N General Assembly that North Korea could face total destruction if it sticks to its nuclear and missile programs.
