Moon to meet ruling party leaders over lunch next week
SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- President Moon Jae-in plans to host a lunch for floor leaders of the ruling Democratic Party at the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae next Tuesday, a party official said Saturday.
It will be the first time for Moon to invite Democratic Party floor leaders alone to a lunch meeting.
"Talks on the president's lunch meeting with party leaders began after the parliament approved next year's budget bill. It is meant to encourage the party officials for their efforts," said the official.
"Through such a meeting, Cheong Wa Dae and the ruling party expect their relationship and cooperation to improve further in key state affairs."
Moon earlier called Democratic Party floor leader Woo Won-shik on Dec. 4 to deliver words of encouragement for the passage of budget bill.
