SEOUL, Jan. 18 (Yonhap) -- Two South Korean mobile games were among the top 10 grossing apps in the world last year, an industry report showed Thursday.

According to the report by the app analytics company App Annie, Netmarble's "Lineage 2: Revolution" ranked fourth and NCsoft Corp.'s "Lineage M" came in eighth place for the year.

Noticeably, "Lineage M," which launched during the end of the second quarter last year, was recorded as the fastest-grossing app both in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.

The report said global app downloads topped 175 billion in 2017 thanks to growth in emerging markets like China.

App Annie also said consumers used apps for nearly three hours per day on average last year, marking a 30 percent growth in time spent from 2015.
