S. Korean dessert cafe chain Sulbing taps Canada
SEOUL, April 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean dessert cafe franchise Sulbing said Thursday it will open new stores in Canada, as it moves to expand its presence in the overseas market.
Sulbing has signed a franchise deal with a Canadian firm to open branches in the North American country, the Korean company said.
It plans to launch the first store in Vancouver by the first half of this year, and open more in major Canadian cities down the road.
The dessert franchise currently operates chains in three foreign countries -- China, Thailand, Japan -- and is planning to open chains in the Philippines, Cambodia and Australia, it said.
