SEOUL, June 8 (Yonhap) -- A press conference for the film "Herstory" was held June 7 at Lotte Cinema in eastern Seoul.
The movie depicts a real story of a group of South Korean victims who clinched a rare legal victory against the Japanese government over the imperial Japanese army's wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women during World War II.
It tells the story of 10 "comfort women" victims and those who fought for them over the course of the court battle, which involved 23 trips to Japan's Shimonoseki from 1992-1998.
