(LEAD) N. Korea has yet to send list of delegates to Red Cross meeting: Seoul official

SEOUL, June 21 (Yonhap) -- North Korea has yet to send South Korea the list of the members of its delegation to a Red Cross meeting on Thursday, one day before the talks are held to arrange a reunion of families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War.
The meeting is set to take place on Mount Kumgang on the North's east coast on Friday. South Korea has delivered its list of four delegates led by Park Kyung-seo, president of the Korean Red Cross, but there has been no response from the North yet, a unification ministry official said.
"We will come back after having good consultations with the North on a set of humanitarian issues, in particular, on how to resolve the agony of 57,000 separated families," Park told reporters before embarking on his trip to the North.
The two Koreas held their last family reunion event in 2015.
Asked if the issue of six South Koreans detained in the North will be brought up for discussion, Park said that he has no such plan and expressed worries that such a sensitive issue could derail efforts to make headway in broader objectives.
The South Korean representatives left for the South's eastern border town of Goseong in the afternoon. Early Friday morning, they will depart for the meeting venue by crossing the eastern land route to the North.
High-level officials from the two Koreas agreed to hold the Red Cross meeting during their talks this month to discuss the implementation of agreements from the leaders' summits in April and May.
