SEJONG, June 21 (Yonhap) -- The state tax agency has launched a probe into Hyundai Engineering Co., apparently to see if there have been any irregularities in its business operations, sources said Thursday.
The National Tax Service (NTS) sent some investigators to the company's headquarters in downtown Seoul in the afternoon to secure accounting books and other materials.
The NTS reportedly tried to check if the company evaded any taxes in its dealings with subcontractors.
