Asiana plane flies back to Fukuoka due to landing gear problems
SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- A passenger jet of Asiana Airlines Inc. departing from Japan has flown back due to a landing gear problem, causing an around eight-hour flight delay, the company said Saturday.
The A350 plane bound for Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, took off from Fukuoka Airport at 11:28 a.m. but returned for repairs as problems were discovered in the landing gear shortly after takeoff, South Korea's No. 2 full-service carrier said.
Asiana Airlines said it will send an alternative jet to Fukuoka to take over 200 passengers to Incheon at around 7:30 p.m.
The air carrier has recently faced rising customer complaints over a series of flight delays caused by problems in airline meal services and technical problems with its aircraft.
