Samsung to release sound bar in collaboration with Harman Kardon
SEOUL, Aug. 15 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co. said Wednesday it will release a new sound bar later this month in collaboration with Harman Kardon, an audio brand of Samsung affiliate Harman International Industries.
The South Korean tech giant said the new flagship sound bar, HW-N950, is equipped with Dolby Atmos technology, delivering vivid sound in household environments.
The product comes with the main sound bar, a woofer and two speakers. The HW-N950 also supports the DTS:X surround sound system.
"Through the cooperation of 65-year old audio brand Harman Kardon, we were able to release a sound bar that boasts top-notch sound quality and perfect connectivity with Samsung TVs," the company said.
Samsung will release the HW-N950 in 30 countries around the globe, including South Korea and the United States, later this month with a price tag of 1.8 million won (US$1,590).
