Dismembered body of man found in Seoul park
GWACHEON, South Korea, Aug. 19 (Yonhap) -- Police are looking into a possible homicide after they retrieved a dismembered body of a man in a park complex just south of Seoul on Sunday.
The Gwacheon Police Station said it received a call earlier in the day from a Seoul Grand Park staff member who reported finding the body in a thicket next to a road near the parking lot.
What the staff member found was a torso wrapped with black and white plastic bags. Police searched the area and discovered the head wrapped in black plastic bags.
Police said they presume it is a male and the body has not completely decomposed. They are working to identify the body since they found no articles in particular that would facilitate identification.
Seoul Grand Park is a popular destination for families with young children. There are hills and hiking trails, a garden, a zoo and an amusement park.
