FM Kang to co-chair WEF's regional session
SEOUL, Sept. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will co-chair a regional meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) this week, her ministry said Monday.
The WEF on the ASEAN session is to open in Hanoi on Tuesday for a three-day run, attended by more than 1,000 people, including dozens of ministers and other high-level officials.
Its main theme is "ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution."
Kang plans to chair the meeting, along with Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Nguyen Manh Hung, who leads Vietnam's Ministry of Information and Communication, as well as three business leaders.
The WEF, born in 1971, is a nonprofit organization known for hosting the annual Davos forum.
