SUWON, South Korea, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- No mole or signs of a mole's removal was found on a private part of Gyeonggi Province Gov. Lee Jae-myung's body, doctors said Tuesday, undermining an actress' claim that she had an extramarital affair with him.

Lee voluntarily took the examination at Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, south of Seoul, after actress Kim Boo-sun claimed he has a large mole on his intimate part. She made the claim of the mole's existence to back up her allegation that the two had a sexual relationship.

"There is no round mole or signs of laser (treatment), a surgical suture or excision," the hospital said following the seven-minute examination involving a dermatologist and a plastic surgeon.

Lee has denied Kim's claims of an affair, and she has filed a complaint with police accusing Lee of violating national election law by denying the alleged affair with her when campaigning for the June local elections.

Lee decided to take the examination despite the "shame and humiliation unbearable for a human being," his spokesman Kim Yong said.

"Now that the examination proved Kim Boo-sun's claim is false, we hope the exhaustive controversy will come to a halt so that Gov. Lee Jae-myung will be able to focus on provincial affairs," Kim said.
