SsangYong Motor tops in British owner satisfaction survey
SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- SsangYong Motor Co., the South Korean unit of Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., ranked No. 1 in a survey of British owners' satisfaction with their vehicles, the company said Friday.
In the Honest John Satisfaction Index 2018, which analyzed feedback from 10,000 car owners, SsangYong Motor beat others to take the title of best-performing car manufacturer in Britain, the company said in a statement.
SsangYong Motor won a high score of 90.3 percent in reliability, ride comfort, fuel economy, practicality and performance, it said.
Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. owns a 72.85 percent stake in SsangYong Motor.
"Owners tell us they think SsangYong build reliable and practical cars, that are easy to use and comfortable. Notching up an impressive 90 per cent approval rating with drivers, no other car manufacturer can match SsangYong for outright owner approval," HonestJohn.co.uk Managing Editor Daniel Powell, said.
