BTS makes Billboard 200 for 16th week
SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Yonhap) -- The latest release by globally popular K-pop group BTS was on the main Billboard albums chart for the 16th week in a row, according to the chart updated on Tuesday (U.S. time).
The group's latest album, "Love Yourself: Answer," ranked 82nd on the new Billboard 200, up two spots from the previous week's 84th. BTS updated its own record as K-pop artists staying the longest on the list.
The album landed atop the competitive list in early September when it was released in May.
For the week of Dec. 22, "Answer" topped Billboard's World Albums chart, fifth on the Independent Albums, 76th on the Top Album Sales and 74th on the Billboard Canadian Albums.
The group also claimed the top spot of the Billboard Social 50 chart for the 75th consecutive week, the longest such run in the chart's history, and recorded fourth on the Billboard Artist 100 chart.
